Senior Scientist position available in Magnetic Hyperthermia at The Vinca Institute, University of Belgrade, Serbia

The Vinca Institute, University of Belgrade, Serbia, announces the open Senior Scientist position for the MagBioVin project funded by the grant of 2.4 million EUR within the FP7-ERAChairs-Pilot Call-2013 programme. Through the MagBioVin project the Vinca Institute receives important EC support to upgrade its human and experimental capacities for the highly specialized research on activated magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) and radionuclide labeled magnetic nanoparticles for application in biosciences, pharmacy and medicine. The prospective candidate has to be an internationally renewed researcher with a proven track record in high quality research on the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, and their application in magnetic hyperthermia.

 Job Description

 The Vinca Institute (www.vinca.rs) is the largest R&D institute in Serbia with ca. 800 employees (ca. 300 PhDs) and with 67 years of tradition in cultivating multidisciplinary researches comprehending physics, chemistry, biology, material sciences, medicine, computer sciences, etc. The MagBioVin Project is aimed at upgrading the Institute’s human and materials capacities for the highly specialized multidisciplinary research on activated magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) and radionuclide labeled magnetic nanoparticles for application in biosciences, pharmacy and medicine.

The Senior Scientist position foresees a one-year full-time engagement with the possible extension up to two years.
