Brief presentation of the institution

The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) is a multicampus university created in 1980 that has almost 50.000 students and imparts 68 Degrees, 102 Master Degrees and 65 Doctorate Programs. 410 PhD thesis were defended in 2015 and 137 start-ups have been created in the last 10 years. Therefore, the UPV/EHU is a generalist university where research in all areas is very important and actually the H index (since 1980) of the university is 173. The main research areas focus on Physics&Astronomy, Materials Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Medicine, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Biochemistry&Genetics&Molecular Biology and Arts&Humanities. The UPV/EHU is the unique public university in the Basque Country and it is the leader of the Campus of International Excellence (CEI) EUSKAMPUS; indeed, it is the only public-private CEI of Spain.

- AC inductive magnetometer for measuring hysteresis loops of colloids dispersed in aqueous media under AC magnetic fields (up to 1023 kHz and 45 mT)

- Electromagnetic applicators for in vivo magnetic hyperthermia experiments.

- SQUID susceptometer, temperature range from 5 to 400 K
