The NALS2017 conference will take place in Gijón (Spain) from 13 to 15th of December of 2017, and will bring together researchers in materials science, chemistry, engineering, medicine, and biology, to establish synergies, strengthen initiated collaborations and create new ones. The conference is organized by the NanoBioAp cluster to promote scientific collaboration and transfer to industry in the field of advanced nanostructures for bio-applications.
The topics covered include:
- Nanomaterials for therapy: Hyperthermia, drug delivery, tissue regeneration.
- Nanometarials for detection: Magnetic, optical, electromagnetic, and electrochemical sensing; magnetic particles imaging; magnetic pre-concentration; cell/exosome/protein isolation.
- Functionalization and bioconjugation of nanomaterials.
- Biocompatibility and toxicity of nanomaterials.
- Other applications of nanomaterials in life sciences: Human and animal health, food safety and environment.
